The 22nd season of the Indian cricket tournament Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023 will be played from November 23, 2023 to December 16, 2023. 38 teams will participate in the competition, divided into five elite groups. Six cities of the country Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi and Ahmedabad will host the tournament. Ahmedabad will host all the knockout games.
There are 38 teams participating in the competition, divided into six groups (five elite groups and one plate group) using a round-robin and playoff style. The top clubs from each of the five top divisions advance to the quarter-finals. The top five teams from each of the five elite groups and the plate group winners compete in the pre-quarterfinals, with the winners earning the last three quarterfinal spots. The final winner of the Vijay Hazare Trophy is decided by subsequent elimination matches.
