The 12th season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) will run from October 29 to December 5. Cricket Australia released the full tournament schedule on Thursday, featuring 43 matches played over 38 days. In WBBL 12, three teams will play an extra match in front of their home crowds, while some matches will be held at neutral venues.
For WBBL 12, the Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, and Sydney Thunder will play an additional match at their home grounds. The season kicks off on October 29; the Renegades will face the Thunder in the first match, while the Stars will take on the Hurricanes in the second. Seven teams will play at their home venues during the tournament's opening weekend.
Women's Big Bash League 2026 format
A total of 43 matches will be played over 38 days during the 2026 Women's Big Bash League (WBBL|12). The tournament will feature an eight-team double round-robin format, where teams play against each other twice.
