Women Premier League (WPL) 2026

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the upcoming Women's Premier League 2026, which will run from January 9 to February 5, 2026. The fourth edition of the tournament will be played in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. The league will once again feature the best cricketers from India and around the world, showcasing the growing depth and competitive strength of the women's game.

The season will begin with a thrilling opener in Navi Mumbai, where defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The Navi Mumbai leg, running from January 9 to 17, will feature 11 matches and will be the start of an exciting edition.

The league will then resume in Vadodara, where the remaining 11 matches, including the playoffs, will be played. Gujarat Giants (GG) and RCB will face each other, followed by a rematch between the 2025 finalists, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians. League matches will run until February 1, followed by a scheduled break day.

The eliminator between the second and third-placed teams in the points table will take place on Tuesday, February 3. The winner will move one step closer to the title. The team that tops the table will advance directly to the final in Vadodara on Thursday, February 5, 2026, where the next WPL champion will be crowned.

A total of 67 players were sold in the auction for the 2026 edition of the Women's Premier League, including 23 foreign players. Deepti Sharma became the most expensive player, purchased by the UP Warriors for ₹3.2 crore using the RTM (Right of Sale) system. Amelia Kerr, who has returned to the Mumbai Indians, is the most expensive foreign player. A total of ₹40.8 crore was spent on 67 players in the auction.
