Cricket Colombia will host the 21st edition of the Men's South American Championship from August 6 to 10, 2026, at the Los Pinos Polo Club grounds in Bogotá. The men's national teams of Brazil, Panama, Mexico, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Peru will compete against the host team for the title. The title is currently held by Mexico, who defeated Panama in the final of the 20th edition held in Brazil last year. This marks the second time Cricket Colombia will host this prestigious championship; they previously hosted the event in 2018.
The Turks and Caicos Islands men's team will be making its debut in the tournament. According to the schedule available on the ICC website, matches involving them and the host nation, Colombia, will not carry T20I team ranking points. Once again, Argentina—the most successful team in the championship's history—will not participate. This will be the second consecutive edition they have missed. While the specific reason is unknown, the cricket board is currently busy preparing to host the sport at the South American Games in September 2026, in collaboration with the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR), the Argentine Olympic Committee (COA), the Argentine government, and the province of Santa Fe.
