Cricket Hong Kong, China (CHK) will host a T20 International Tri-Series tournament (carrying ICC Women's T20I Team Ranking points) for the women's national teams of Malaysia and China at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok from May 7 to May 11, 2026. All teams will compete against one another in a double round-robin group stage format, followed by a final match between the top two (2) teams on the points table.
While the women's teams of China and Hong Kong, China have faced each other thirteen (13) times in T20I cricket, the women's teams of China and Malaysia have met only twice in T2Is to date. Given the ongoing shifts in the rankings of teams participating in the ICC Women's Challenge Trophy in Rwanda (USA, Nepal, Italy, Rwanda, and Vanuatu), this series will be of immense importance to the women's teams of Hong Kong and Malaysia. They must win matches to secure sufficient ranking points to either maintain or improve their current standing on the points table.
