Indian opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal played his 30th Test match against Sri Lanka in Galle. By doing so, Jaiswal followed in the footsteps of the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar to set a record that is truly a matter of 'fate'. Notably, Jaiswal has played all 30 of his Test matches at different venues.
Jaiswal made his Test debut against the West Indies at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica, in July 2023. He is now playing his 30th Test at the Galle International Stadium. To date, he has not played more than one Test match at any single venue. Sachin Tendulkar and Sanjay Manjrekar hold similar records; Manjrekar played the first 33 Tests of his career at different venues, while Tendulkar played 32 Tests at different venues. Jaiswal now ranks third on this list, having played 30 Test matches across 30 different venues.
