In their match on Thursday at Eden Gardena Stadium against the Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders amassed an enormous 261 runs. KKR batsmen Sunil Narine and Phil Salt struck some remarkable blows throughout the match, giving the side a tremendous start. Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell, and captain Shreyas Iyer then followed with some rapid-fire strikes.

As he came to bat later in the game, captain Shreyas Iyer displayed excellent technique, striking the PBKS bowlers for many runs around the pitch. Iyer hit 280 at a strike rate of 28 runs from the 10 balls he faced before being ultimately removed by Arshdeep Singh of PBKS.

While fans have become accustomed to seeing KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan in an animated avatar cheering for his team, it was time for SRK's son Abram Khan to join in on Thursday. A video of Abram Khan's unhappy expression following Shreyas Iyer's ejection has become popular on social media, with netizens praising the young Khan's passion for the game.

Bairstow led Punjab to a record-breaking win:

Meanwhile, KKR lost by eight wickets on Thursday after recording the best T20 total ever at Eden Gardens. Surprisingly, the match included 42 sixes, with all four openers scoring half-centuries.
