Less than three months are left for the start of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023. This time the World Cup is to be played on Indian soil from 5 October to 19 November. This is happening for the first time when India is hosting the World Cup alone. Earlier it co-hosted the 1987, 1996 and 2011 World Cups.

Team India's concern before the World Cup is the injury of its star players. Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Prasidh Krishna, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have been away from cricketing action for a long time. It has to be seen whether these players are fit for the World Cup or not. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a big update regarding these five players.
