Nuwan Thushara out of T20 series against India
Just before the start of the three-match T20 series (India vs Sri Lanka) against India, the host Sri Lankan team has suffered a double blow. Sri Lanka cricket team's star player Nuwan Thushara has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Earlier, Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out of the entire three-match T20 series.

Before the T20 series against India (India vs Sri Lanka), Sri Lankan team's star bowler Nuwan Tushara has been injured and is out of the series. Tushara suffered a finger injury during practice and the scan revealed that his bone is broken. As such, he will not be able to play any match now.
Nuwan's bowling action is very similar to Lasith Malinga. Nuwan's strength is his yorker ball. In such a situation, his injury and his exclusion from the series is a big setback for the team. Sri Lanka Cricket has released an update regarding his injury. Along with this, his replacement has also been announced.
Dilshan Madhushanka has been included in the team in place of Nuwan Thushara. SLC has confirmed the inclusion of Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madhushanka in the team in place of both the injured players Dushmantha and Nuwan.
Talking about Dilshan Madhushanka, his performance in the LPL was not very good, where he took only two wickets in 6 matches. He has played a total of 23 ODIs, 14 T20 matches so far, in which he has taken 41 and 14 wickets respectively. He took a total of 21 wickets while playing 9 matches in the World Cup 2023.
