Nuwan Thushara out of T20 series against India

Just before the start of the three-match T20 series (India vs Sri Lanka) against India, the host Sri Lankan team has suffered a double blow. Sri Lanka cricket team's star player Nuwan Thushara has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Earlier, Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out of the entire three-match T20 series.

Dilshan Madhushanka has been included in the team in place of Nuwan Thushara. SLC has confirmed the inclusion of Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madhushanka in the team in place of both the injured players Dushmantha and Nuwan.

Talking about Dilshan Madhushanka, his performance in the LPL was not very good, where he took only two wickets in 6 matches. He has played a total of 23 ODIs, 14 T20 matches so far, in which he has taken 41 and 14 wickets respectively. He took a total of 21 wickets while playing 9 matches in the World Cup 2023.
