The second T20 match of the series between India and the West Indies was played in Ranchi on October 9. In this thrilling encounter, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan stole the show with his explosive innings.
During the Indian innings, Ishan played a blistering knock, scoring 43 runs off just 22 balls. His innings featured 6 magnificent fours and 2 towering sixes. With these two sixes, Ishan Kishan has become the third Indian player in history to hit the most sixes in T20I cricket within a single year. Only Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma now stand ahead of him in this exclusive club.
IND vs WI 2nd T20I Match Summary: West Indies Complete Historic Chase
This match in Ranchi saw a run-fest, providing plenty of entertainment for the spectators.
- India's Innings: Batting first, Team India posted a massive total of 249 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson played a magnificent innings of 82 runs, while Ishan Kishan also contributed a quick-fire 43 runs.
- West Indies' Chase: In response, the Caribbean team successfully chased down the mammoth target of 250 runs in a thrilling finish. West Indies achieved the target losing only 4 wickets.
