The Hundred 2026: The stage is set for the seventh season of England's 'The Hundred' tournament. The event kicks off on Tuesday at the historic Oval ground with matches featuring both men's and women's teams. Under the tournament rules, Indian players are eligible to participate only in the women's competition.
Several star players from the Indian team which recently failed to qualify for the knockout stage of the Women's T20 World Cup are ready to showcase their skills in England once again. Let’s take a look at which Indian women players will be representing which teams in this season of The Hundred.
All Eyes on Smriti Mandhana
Opening batter Smriti Mandhana India's highest run-scorer in the recently concluded T20 World Cup is making her return to 'The Hundred' after a one-year hiatus. This will be her fifth season. After playing for Southern Brave from 2021 to 2024, Mandhana will be seen playing for Manchester Superchargers this time around.
The team is led by legendary former Australian captain Meg Lanning. Notably, Mandhana won the title with Southern Brave in 2023. In the 2022 season, she scored 211 runs at a blistering strike rate of 151.79, while in 2023, she amassed 238 runs.
Richa Ghosh Also Part of Superchargers
Explosive wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh will join Smriti Mandhana at Manchester Superchargers this season. The duo also plays together for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women's Premier League (WPL).
This marks Richa's third consecutive season, and she has played for a different team each time. She represented London Spirit in 2023 and Birmingham Phoenix in 2024.
New Teams for Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma
Like her close friend Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues will also take the field with a new team this season. Having played three seasons, Jemimah has left Sunrisers Leeds to join Southern Brave.
Meanwhile, Indian star all-rounder Deepti Sharma is returning to 'The Hundred' after two years. Deepti, who helped London Spirit clinch the title in 2024, will play for Sunrisers Leeds this season.
