IND W vs SA W: Smriti Mandhana scores sixth ODI century
IND W vs SA W Live score updated: On the strength of Smriti Mandhana's brilliant sixth century of her career, the Indian women's cricket team has set a target of 266 runs for South Africa to win in the first ODI match being played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the first match of the three-match ODI series (IND W vs SA W ODI Series), the Indian team scored 265 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Indian women's cricket team had a very poor start and the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Half of India's team was back in the pavilion at 99 runs. However, the opener and vice-captain held one end and first scored a half-century and then converted it into a century to put the team in a strong position. Mandhana was out as the seventh batsman in the 46.1 over at the team's score of 238. She played a brilliant innings of 117 runs in 127 balls with the help of 12 fours and a six and completed the sixth century of her career.
Opener Mandhana shared 15 for the opening wicket with Shefali Verma (7), 17 for the second wicket with Dylan Hemalatha (12), 23 for the third wicket with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (10), 37 for the fourth wicket with Jemimah Rodrigues (17), seven for the fifth wicket with Richa Ghosh (3), 81 for the eighth wicket with Deepti Sharma (37) and 58 for the ninth wicket with Pooja Vastrakar (31 not out) to take India past 200.
With this, Mandhana has also completed her 7000 runs in international cricket and has become the second Indian woman player to do so. Now only Mithali Raj is ahead of Mandhana, who has 10868 runs to her name. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur is at number three in this list with 6870 international runs.
