WPL Prize Money: How much prize money did RCB win after the WPL league: Women's Premier League 2024 reached its conclusion. In its final, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by eight wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. This year WPL has got a new champion. Last year Mumbai Indians had won this title. However, do you know how much money the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, which won the Women's Premier League title this year, and the runner-up Delhi Capitals team have received.
Even in the Women's Premier League, money is showered on the winning team. You can guess this from the fact that the prize money of Women's Premier League is double the amount received by the winning team in Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In the Women's Premier 2023, the winning team Mumbai Indians received an amount of Rs 6 crore as a reward for winning the trophy. Whereas, the runner-up Delhi team got Rs 3 crore. Similarly, this time also the winning team Royal Challengers Bangalore was given Rs 6 crore, while the runner-up team Delhi Capitals was given Rs 3 crore. This time the winning team in PSL will get 120 million Pakistani rupees and 3.5 crore rupees in Indian currency, which is almost half of the WPL and a little more than the runner-up team. The PSL runner-up team will receive Rs 1.4 crore, which is half the amount that the Women's Premier League runner-up team will receive. The PSL final will be played on March 18.
The prize money given in WPL is much less as compared to IPL. Last year, Chennai Super Kings team, which became IPL champion, received Rs 20 crore as prize money. Whereas the runner-up Gujarat Titans got a check of Rs 12.5 crore. However, if we compare the amount received by the champion team in the Women's Premier League with the Pakistan Super League (PSL), there is a big difference. The winning team in the Women's Premier League gets almost double the amount as the PSL champion.
