In Bengaluru, the 10th match of the IPL 2024 between Kolkata Knight Riders versus Royal Challengers Bangalore. After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer decided to field first on a sluggish wicket. Virat Kohli continued his impressive form from the last game against Punjab Kings by coming up big with an 83-ball 49. Dinesh Karthik added the finishing touches with 20 runs off of 8 balls, while Cameron Green hit 33 runs off of 21 balls. It was a sluggish, dry surface and the RCB batsmen could not find their rhythm. The slower balls into the wicket were to the best of the KKR bowlers' abilities. Despite having trouble with timing, the RCB hitters managed to score 182 runs in their 20 overs.

Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, two of the KKR openers, came out firing; Salt hit 30 runs off 20 balls, while Narine smashed 47 runs off 22 balls. In only 6.3 overs, KKR raced to 86 runs. Venkatesh Iyer amassed 50 runs in 30 balls, and skipper Shreyas Iyer struck 39 runs in 24 balls to help KKR cross the finish line. KKR won both of their matches this season, defeating RCB by a margin of seven wickets.
