Star batter Ruturaj Gaikwad, who leads the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL, has been appointed as the new captain of West Zone. The team will enter the tournament under his leadership with the aim of making a significant impact.
Meanwhile, experienced Mumbai left-arm all-rounder Shams Mulani has been named the team's vice-captain. It will be interesting to see how the team performs under Gaikwad's calm and astute leadership.
Previous Season Performance: Last season, star all-rounder Shardul Thakur captained West Zone and led the team to the semi-finals. Shardul remains a key part of the squad as a player this time around as well.
