Prenton Park is a football stadium located in the Prenton area of Birkenhead, in Merseyside, England. It has served as the home ground for Tranmere Rovers Football Club since it opened in 1912; previously, it also hosted the Liverpool Reserves and Liverpool Women’s teams. The ground has undergone several redevelopments. The most recent one took place in 1995, carried out to meet the requirements of the 'Taylor Report,' which mandated that stadiums must provide seating for all spectators (an 'all-seater' requirement). The stadium currently features four stands—The Kop, The Johnny King Stand, The Main Stand, and 'The Cowshed' (for visiting supporters)—with a total seating capacity of 16,587.
