Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S., featuring a retractable roof. Opened in 2017 to replace the Georgia Dome, the stadium serves as the home field for the National Football League (NFL) team Atlanta Falcons, the Major League Soccer (MLS) team Atlanta United FC, and a new team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The stadium is owned by the State of Georgia through the Georgia World Congress Center Authority and is operated by AMB Group, the parent organization of the Falcons and Atlanta United FC. In 2016, the total construction cost was estimated at approximately US$1.6 billion.
