Maksimir Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in Zagreb, Croatia. It is named after the surrounding Maksimir neighborhood. It is one of the country's largest stadiums, currently offering a seating capacity of 25,912, with a maximum capacity of 35,423. It serves as the home ground for the Croatian club 'Dinamo Zagreb,' and since 1990, the Croatian national football team has used it for most of its international matches.
Built 114 years ago in 1912, the stadium underwent renovations and improvements in 1948, 1998, and 2011. Its facilities can be converted into a concert stage, a feature that has been utilized to host musical events. Maksimir Stadium comprises four stands: North, East, West, and South. The stadium offers seating for all spectators; there are no standing areas.
Extensive renovation work was carried out in June 2011, involving the installation of new seats and increased spacing between them. Following a powerful earthquake that struck Zagreb on March 22, 2020, the East Stand has remained closed to spectators.
