Estadio BBVA, formerly known as Estadio BBVA Bancomer, is a football stadium located in Guadalupe, Greater Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is nicknamed "El Gigante de Acero" (meaning 'The Steel Giant'); it replaced Estadio Tecnológico as the home ground of C.F. Monterrey, thereby bringing an end to the club's 63-year tenure at that venue. It is named after the Spanish bank BBVA, specifically its Mexican subsidiary, BBVA Mexico. The stadium was inaugurated on August 2, 2015, with the eighth edition of the Eusébio Cup, in which Monterrey defeated Benfica 3–0. The stadium is expected to host matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
