Yusuf Pathan joins TMC: Former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan will now start his innings on the political pitch. Trinamool Congress on Sunday declared Yusuf Pathan as its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Yusuf Pathan has been made the candidate from Baharampur constituency which is currently held by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

Former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan, who hit a lot of sixes and fours on the cricket field, is now going to enter politics. 2007 T20 and 2011 ODI World Cup champion Yusuf Pathan has been declared by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as her party's candidate from Baharampur Lok Sabha seat. At present, Baharampur seat is held by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary. It is expected that Pathan will be in the election field against him.
