While speaking with Jio Star, Saba Karim suggested the name of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar. Patidar has led RCB to consecutive IPL title victories under his captaincy. Saba Karim said:
“I would like to add Rajat Patidar’s name to the list of captaincy contenders. Winning two consecutive IPL titles is a very difficult task, and he has achieved this with great composure and confidence. He has had to lead a team filled with star players and overseas cricketers who are key members of their respective national teams.”
Karim added that managing such stalwarts and players with diverse levels of experience is no easy feat, yet Patidar has handled the responsibility admirably.

Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan Also Enter the T20I Leadership Race

Saba Karim believes that Rajat Patidar is not the only strong contender to take charge of the T20I team; there are two or three others in the mix. He noted that while Shreyas Iyer is certainly a candidate, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan are also on his radar. Consequently, the selectors have several options available to them.
