The record of taking most wickets in Test is in the name of great Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. Muralitharan has taken 800 wickets in 133 test matches. So far eight bowlers have taken 500 wickets in Tests. Ashwin will be the ninth bowler to achieve this feat.
