Muttiah Muralitharan Biopic: The first look of Muttiah Muralitharan's biopic 800 has been released on his 51st birthday. Slumdog Millionaire fame actor Madhur Mittal will play the role of Muralitharan. The first actor Vijay Sethupathi was supposed to play Muralitharan. Muttiah Muralitharan is the only bowler in the world who has achieved the milestone of taking 800 wickets in Test cricket. Muthiah has also taken 534 wickets in ODI cricket. In this way, he has the record of taking the most wickets.
Muttiah Muralitharan Biopic film is named after his total of Test wickets. The script of 800 has been written by MS Sripati and he is also performing the responsibility of direction. Actor Madhur Mittal is playing the role of Muraleedharan. Madhur played the role of Salim in the film 'Slumdog Millionaire'. The film is basically being made in Tamil and will be dubbed and released in Hindi and Telugu as well.

Talking about Muralitharan's cricket career, he took 800 wickets in 133 Test matches. His best performance is nine wickets for 51 runs in an inning. How lethal his bowling was can be gauged from the fact that he took 10 wickets in both innings in 22 Test matches. Muralitharan's record in ODIs has also been excellent. He has taken 534 wickets in 350 matches.
