In the inaugural match of this league starting for the first time, Texas Super Kings will face Los Angeles Knight Riders. The final will be played on 30 July. American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) is going to organize this tournament.
3 of the six franchises own the Indian T20 League team. Prominent players participating in the league include Afghanistan star spinner Rashid Khan, South Africa's Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, David Miller, West Indies' Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, Australia's Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Finch, England's Jason Roy and Liam Plunkett, Sri Lanka's Dasun Shanaka and New Zealand's Trent Boult.

The US-based franchise T20 tournament will begin on July 13 with a match between home team Texas Super Kings and Los Angeles Knight Riders at the Grand Prairie Stadium near Dallas, Texas.
