Virat Kohli will not play a warm-up match against Bangladesh: Before the T20 World Cup 2024, India will play its only warm-up match against Bangladesh. Team India's veteran batsman Virat Kohli cannot be seen playing in this match. He has taken a short break following the exit of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The warm-up match between India and Bangladesh will be played in New York on June 1.

The veteran batsman informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he wants to join the team after some time. When will Virat Kohli join the World Cup team?

A BCCI official told The Indian Express, “Kohli had already informed us that he will be joining the team late and that is why the BCCI has postponed his visa appointment to a later date. Virat will fly to New York on the morning of 30th May. BCCI has accepted his request.”
