Kohli and Anushka reached Rishikesh during the break after the ODI series against New Zealand and before the Test series against Australia. During this, both also reached the ashram of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Swami Dayanand was the spiritual mentor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to media reports, both have reached Rishikesh for religious rituals. The religious rituals are likely to take place on Tuesday. Apart from this, both of them also meditated by offering flowers on the tomb of the Guru.
Swami Dayanand was the spiritual guru of PM Modi. The PM himself had reached Swami Dayanand Saraswati's ashram located at Sheesham Jhari, Rishikesh to meet him. Later Swami Dayanand had become Brahmalin. After reaching his ashram, Kohli and Anushka first offered prayers at Dayanand Saraswati's tomb. Also meditated for 20 minutes.

After this, Kohli and Anushka also took blessings from Swami Sakshatkrita Nand Maharaj, President of Dayanand Ashram. He will stay in the ashram at night. Apart from this, all three took the food prepared in the kitchen of the ashram. During this, all three ate bread, vegetables, khichdi and curry. Apart from this, one can also join the regular yoga classes in all three ashrams.

Virat Kohli also visited Vrindavan with Anushka and daughter Vamika earlier this month before the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Now he will participate in the Test series against Australia.
