Players not sold in IPL 2024 auction A total of 333 players were auctioned in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. Of these players, 214 were Indian and 119 foreign players, out of which two players are from associate countries. Furthermore, 116 capped and 215 uncapped players were included in the IPL 2024 auction.
In the player auction held abroad for the first time for IPL 2024, 10 teams bought 72 players for Rs 230.45 crore at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai. Australia's Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player ever sold in the IPL auction when Kolkata Knight Riders acquired the fast bowler's services for Rs. Bought for Rs 24.75 crore.
There are also great players who performed very well in international matches but were not bid by any team in the IPL, which also includes Australian batsman Steve Smith, whose base price was Rs 2 crore, on whom no team bid.
