Sri Lanka Cricket Board has shared the full schedule of the FTP on its official X account on Wednesday 29 November. There is also mention of the series to be held with India. SLC has told that they will face India after the T20 World Cup. ODI and T20 series of 3 matches each is to be organized. These 6 matches will end only in July 2024. Half of July will be spent in the World Cup and the remaining part will be spent in this series.
Let us tell you that the schedule of Team India is going to be very tight in 2024. At present, the five-match T20 series is going on against Australia. After this, India has to play a series of all three formats on the tour of South Africa, which will continue till January 2024. After this, the Afghanistan team will tour India to play a 3-match T20 series. After this there will be a Test series against England and then IPL will be organised.
It is noteworthy that recently ICC had suspended the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. The ICC claimed that there was political interference, but it was reinstated after a few days. In such a situation, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board got permission to play international cricket again.
