England announces Squad for T20 World Cup
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday announced the T20 squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be played in Australia and the tour of Pakistan. Jos Buttler will lead the team. At the same time, opener Jason Roy has been dropped. Fast bowlers Chris Woakes and Mark Wood have recovered from their respective injuries and have been included in the T20 squad for the T20 World Cup as well as the tour of Pakistan in September.
T20 World Cup
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood last played for England during the West Indies Test tour in March. England will play their first match of the T20 World Cup against Afghanistan in Perth on 22 October. Jos Buttler's team will take on Australia on October 28 and New Zealand on November 1. The final of the World Cup will be played on 13 November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

England tour of Pakistan (PAK vs ENG)
The England team is going to tour Pakistan for the first time since 2005. This team will now play a bilateral series on Pakistani soil after 17 years. A 7-match T20 series will be played between the two countries, starting from September 20 in Karachi and the last match will be played on October 2. 4 matches will be played in Karachi and 3 matches will be played in Lahore.
