The United States of America (USA) will host the opening match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against neighbours and rivals Canada at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Get ready for the largest cricket fiesta in North America.
The Group A match will measure how interested the public is in cricket for a match other than India versus Pakistan in a nation where baseball fans predominate. The two sides have played cricket together for over 180 years, beginning in Manhattan, New York, in 1844 when their first match was played. It's time for them to square off against one another on the grandest stage of them all.
The USA and Canada played a four-match T20 international series, with the hosts winning all four games. But the first game was fairly balanced because Canada easily defeated Nepal in a warm-up match before the T20 World Cup.
