Swiggy reveals the most-ordered dish during the IND vs PAK match

Swiggy and Zomato, two online food delivery services, have joined the ICC Cricket World Cup craze. 'Fandom postings' on India's matches have been exchanged across the two sites. Swiggy also revealed some intriguing data on food delivery orders made during the game on Saturday, October 14. As millions watched the match between India and Pakistan, known as the greatest cricketing rivalry, the firm said in a post on social networking platform X, previously Twitter, that it got orders for more than 250 biryanis each minute.

Swiggy reveals the most-ordered dish

This Swiggy tweet quickly gained traction on X and received a variety of user responses. "And you charged a distance fee rather than offering them any savings. One of the X users wrote, "Business means business! ". One person said, "Give me a free order coupon if India wins today."

The firm stated in another tweet that "one household in Chandigarh ordered 70 biryanis in one-go; it seems they were already celebrating."

Chips, cold beverages, and of course desserts were among items with high order volumes.

"total number of sweets ordered today = thrice the number of people currently present in the stadium ? #INDvsPAK," stated the post.

"Today, orders were placed for 10,916 and 8,504 units of blue and green Lay's chips, respectively. Another Swiggy post on X stated, "Of course blue is winning here as well.

The post with the order figures said, "over 1 lac cold drinks ordered today, y'all are really rushing for a drinks break #INDvsPAK."

The business said, "3,509 condoms ordered, some players playing today off the field."

There were several further intriguing postings, like "order 3 delivered. With a graphic of orders being delivered to Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and knocking on Bangladesh's door, the post said, "8 more to go #INDvsPAK #WorldCup2023."
