Shaun Marsh has officially put an end to his illustrious cricket career. The 39-year-old announced his retirement from domestic cricket (Shaun Marsh Retires) during a press conference on Friday (10-03-2023) afternoon, ending a 22-year career in Australian domestic cricket. Marsh has been one of the most prolific players in Sheffield Shield history. He has scored over 12,000 runs in 183 first-class matches.
Marsh played 38 Tests for Australia and scored 2,265 runs at an average of 34.31. During this, he has scored 6 centuries and 10 half-centuries. In first-class cricket, Marsh has scored 12,032 runs in 183 matches at an average of 41.20. During this, this player has scored 32 centuries and 58 half-centuries. His best score has been 214 runs. His best score in International Test cricket is 182 runs.
In ODI cricket, Marsh played 73 matches for Australia and scored 2,773 runs at an average of 40.77. During this, he has managed to score 7 centuries and 15 half-centuries. His best score has been 151 runs. He played his last ODI against Sri Lanka cricket team on June 15, 2019. In T20 International cricket, Marsh has scored 255 runs in 15 matches at an average of 18.21.
