Priya Malik: Another female player from Haryana showed her prowess in wrestling

Indian wrestler Priya Malik has touched new heights. She was successful in winning the gold medal in the Under-20 World Wrestling Championship held in Amman. She is only the second Indian woman wrestler to get this distinction. Earlier, the last Panghal was successful in winning the gold medal.

The meaning of this achievement of Priya increases because the match was stopped twice due to a cut above her left eye, because of this cut was bleeding. But even the flow of blood could not deter Priya from her purpose and she finally succeeded in defeating German wrestler Laura Seliv Kuehn by 5-0 points. In this way, he captured the gold of 76 kg class.

Priya is known as a wrestler with lightning fast bets.

His German opponent had no answer to this. Priya was not deterred by bleeding due to a cut above her eye and maintained complete dominance in the match and did not give the German wrestler a chance to score even a single point.

Wrestlers are made by Baba's inspiration

Priya Malik's entire family is related to wrestling. Father Jai Bhagwan himself is a wrestler and he has been involved in the Services team. Whereas uncle is a qualified coach of the army team, but Baba Prithvi Singh has an important role in making Priya a wrestler.

Baba wanted Priya to take up wrestling and initially he also trained her.

Father Jai Bhagwan, who retired as a sergeant in the army, says, "Priya has also been good in studies, so initially I wanted her to focus on studies. But my father wanted her to take up wrestling. Baba's She got into wrestling out of desire."

Priya started wrestling training in 2017 and started showing her skills this year itself. Baba's happiness knew no bounds when he won a medal in the National Age Group Championship for the first time.

The kind of wrestler Baba had thought of making his granddaughter, when she became a wrestler, Baba was not there to see this achievement.

Because by then he had passed away. Priya achieved the first major international success of her career in the Cadet World Championship. Priya made Baba's dream come true by winning the gold medal in the 73 kg category of the World Cadet Wrestling Championship, but Baba was not present to see this success, as he died of a heart attack a year ago.

Priya gets inspiration from village's Anshu

Wrestling is very popular in the villages of Haryana and Nidani village of Jind district is no exception to it. Anshu of this village has earned a special name in wrestling. Seeing her, Prithvi Singh wanted Priya to also adopt wrestling.

In the beginning, the father wanted him to adopt it because he was good at studies. But respecting his father's wish, he worked hard to make Priya a wrestler. Generally, wrestlers have less special relation with education. But now the environment has changed and Priya is also an example of this changed environment.

He has completed his graduation after getting his early education from Chaudhary Bharat Singh School. His father wanted him to make his career in the field of education only.

The reason for this was that he was very good in studies. But he withdrew from this intention in front of the wishes of his father Prithvi Singh. With the intention of giving Priya the right direction in wrestling, Jai Bhagwan admitted her to Chaudhary Bharat Singh School in Nidani village.

In fact, both Baba Prithvi Singh and father Jai Bhagwan decided to make Priya a wrestler after seeing Anshu. After getting admission in this school, his wrestling career started getting the right shape. Anshu Malik was also the starting coach. She herself has won the gold medal in the 2017 World Cadet Championship.

When congratulations started pouring in for the Olympic medal

The World Cadet Wrestling Championship was organized in Budapest only during the Tokyo Olympics in the year 2021. A day after weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal in Tokyo, the news of Priya winning a gold medal in cadet wrestling came.

Sports lovers of the country, without understanding that Priya's success lies in the Cadet Championship, started congratulating her on social media for her success in the Olympics.

On this Priya had said- I want that she fulfills these expectations of the sports lovers of the country in the Olympic Games to be held in Paris next year.
