NZ vs SL 2nd T20I New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the second T20 International match on Wednesday. With this, the Kiwi team is tied at 1-1 in the three T20 International series.

New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in second T20I, New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 9 wickets with 32 balls to spare in the second T20 International match on Wednesday thanks to the excellent performance of Adam Milne (5 wickets) and Tim Seifert (79 *). Sri Lanka batted first in the match played in Dunedin and the entire team was all out for 141 runs in 19 overs.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, both Sri Lankan openers had to return to the pavilion cheaply. Kusal Mendis (10 runs) was dismissed by Ben Lister. After that in the fourth over, Pathum Nishanka (9 runs) became the victim of Adam Milne. Adam Milne took 5 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs.

Apart from Pathum Nishanka, Adam Milne sent Kusal Perera (35 runs), Charith Aslanka (24 runs), Dilshan Madhushanka (0) and Pramod Madhushan (1 run) to the pavilion. With this, Ben Lister took 2 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. The names of Henry Shipley, Rachin Ravindra and James Neesham included 1-1 wickets. The Sri Lankan team was able to reach 141 runs thanks to Kusal Perera's 35 and Dhananjay de Silva's 37 runs.

Chasing the target, New Zealand got off to a brisk start by Chad Bowes and Tim Sheffert. There was a 40-run partnership for the first wicket between the two batsmen. Chad Bowes was dismissed in the fourth over. He scored 31 runs in 15 balls.

After this, Tim Sheffert played an unbeaten inning of 79 runs in 43 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. Captain Tom Latham also played a big role in the team's victory with his unbeaten innings of 20 runs.
