Nepal cricketer broke Yuvraj Singh record Scored the fastest half century

Deependra Singh Airi on Wednesday broke Yuvraj Singh's record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20 International cricket. On Wednesday, Deependra scored a half-century in just 9 balls against Mongolia in the Asian Games 2023.

In the Asian Games 2023 being held in Hangzhou, China, Deependra Singh Airi scored unbeaten 52 runs with the help of 8 sixes in 9 balls against Mongolia. With this, the record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20 International cricket has now been registered in the name of Deependra Singh Airi.

Yuvraj Singh Record Broken After 16 years

The record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20 International cricket was held in the name of former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh scored fifty in just 12 balls against England in Durban in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

Former West Indies explosive opener Chris Gayle and former Afghanistan captain Hazratullah Zazai also scored half-centuries in 12 balls. He could match Yuvraj, but could not break the record.

Nepal Achieved the Biggest Victory

Nepal also made a world record for the biggest win in T20 International cricket. Nepal defeated Mongolia by a huge margin of 273 runs. Nepal batted first and scored 315 runs losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Mongolia's team collapsed for only 41 runs.

Earlier this record was in the name of Czech Republic, which had defeated Turkey by a margin of 257 runs. Czech Republic, batting first, scored 278 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Turkish team was all out for 21 runs.
