LSG vs KKR Highlights: Check Out Most Thriller Match Of IPL 2022

IPL 2022 KKR vs LSG Highlight: Chasing a gigantic 211, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got off to a worst possible start against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday. Mohsin Khan packed openers Venkatesh Iyer and Abhishek Tomar inside the powerplay overs. However, Nitish Rana and Shreyas Iyer didn't waste any time and helped KKR accumulate 60/2 in the powerplay overs. Rana's innings however came to an end on 42(22) deliveries. Iyer, who chipped in with a 29-ball 50, was dismissed by Marcus Stoinis. Sam Billings too lost his wicket as he was stumped on 36(24). Andre Russell fell cheaply on 5(11).

2 in 2 for Stoinis and LSG to make it to the playoffs. A great final over for Lucknow. They were under the pump after Rinku Singh’s assault but once he was gone, vanished were the hopes of KKR. A 2-run win and Lucknow become the 2nd team to enter the knockout stages. What a game!!!

A STUNNER BY EVIN LEWIS! That’s unbelievable. One for the highlight reels. Wow, under pressure, full speed and Lewis has grabbed a ripper. We have seen everything tonight.

KL Rahul, the winning captain of Lucknow, says that they have missed games like these this season and he is happy to be on the other side. Adds that they could have been so easily on the other side of the result. Tells that it's a good way to finish their last league game. Credits both the teams for making such a brilliant game of cricket. Mentions that those last two balls, Stoinis executed the plan and that was brilliant. Feels that they played really well and is delighted with the batting effort. Further says that they knew Kolkata will come hard and he credits them for hitting the big shots. Calls it good learning for them and feels that this win will bring the team together. Opines that such close games remind you that the game is not over till the last ball. Smiles and says that he was a spectator today in the last 3 overs while batting, as Quinton de Kock took charge and it was an incredible knock. Adds that de Kock has been batting so well this season. Feels that this was lacking in their game as the guys who are in good touch were not winning them the games. Praises Mohsin Khan and calls him exceptional, who has got great skills and uses his variations very cleverly. Tells that he has no doubt that Mohsin Khan will be donning the India jersey soon.Winning Captain KL Rahul

I am not feeling sad at all. That was one of the best games of cricket I have played. The way we should our character and attitude was simply outstanding. I love the way Rinku got us till the end but unfortunately couldn't time it when two balls were remaining, he was really sad. I was hoping he could finish the game for us and could have been the hero, but still played a fantastic knock and I am really happy for him. When we came in, I never thought it would play this way because it was dry and the grass wasn't that wet. I thought there would be little help for the spinners but once they started going.. LSG took on the bowlers and got a par total. It was a do or die situation for us, even after losing two wickets in the powerplay our mindset was to go for the chase and take it close as possible and put them under pressure. It was a volatile season for us, we started great but lost five games in a row and I personally feel we did a lot of chopping and changing, we had to do that because of the niggles and form, but we also got to know the players such as Rinku. The vibe has always been positive in the dressing room and we never hit the panic button. I have built a really good relationship with Baz (McCullum) and he is someone who is calm and composed even when the situation is going out of the way, you can go and talk to him at any point of the game. He's got that aura when he walks around the players and never judges the players, all of us are equal for him.Losing captain Shreyas Iyer
