The groundwork for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction has been laid, with franchises releasing the list of players they have retained ahead of the T20 league's 16th season. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who had a turbulent captaincy last year, have decided to keep Ravindra Jadeja. The all-future rounder's in the franchise has been up for debate since he decided to step down as captain in the middle of the season.
Purse remaining for Chennai Super Kings after IPL 2023 Retention
The teams have an additional Rs 5 crore to spend in the upcoming auction, which will be held in Kochi on December 23, in addition to the purse from the previous auction and the value of the players each side has released, bringing the total purse tally to Rs 95 crore.

CSK IPL 2023 Retained Players List
Ravindra Jadeja's association with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will continue as the franchise has retained him prior to the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Jadeja has hinted that he will leave the franchise after the IPL 2022 season. He deleted all CSK-related posts from his Instagram profile before responding to the franchise with a heartfelt message. But he isn't leaving and will continue to play for MS Dhoni.
