MS Dhoni struggled with a knee injury throughout IPL 2023, he played despite the pain and made CSK the champion for the fifth time. He had surgery done after IPL. He returned in IPL 2024 and scored 37 runs in 16 balls in the first match of the season. However, Dhoni was seen limping after the match, raising concerns of a possible injury among fans. The news of any injury has not been confirmed yet, but Dhoni was seen dragging his left leg while waving to the fans at the Vizag Stadium.
IPL 2024 started on March 22 and till now more than 13 matches have been played in it. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has played 3 matches so far this season. But MS Dhoni has batted in only one match, which he did against Delhi Capitals last night (31 March) and the power of his bat was also seen in that match. Against Delhi, MS Dhoni played an unbeaten inning of 37 runs in 16 balls. All the fans are very happy seeing his innings. But currently a video is going viral, in which he is seen walking with a limp.
