The Asia Cup 2023 has started from today with the match between the home team Pakistan and Nepal. In the match being played in Multan, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Today is a big day for Pakistan because after 15 years the Asia Cup is being played in Pakistan.
During the first match of Asia Cup, the number of spectators was seen very less in Multan Cricket Stadium. It can be said that the entire stadium appears empty. A picture has gone viral, in which it can be seen that the chairs in the stadium are empty. Pakistan Cricket Board is hosting a big tournament after many years, but the number of spectators is negligible.
The host team has not yet shared the official figures of the number of spectators, but in the pictures and videos that have surfaced on social media, the stadium is seen empty. So yes, we can say that cricket is dying in Pakistan
