IPL 2023 Auction Latest News, New List Of Players Is Released For Auction

A total of 405 cricket players are scheduled to be auctioned off at the TATA IPL 2023 Player Auction in Kochi on December 23, 2022. From the initial list of 991 participants, a total of 369 individuals were shortlisted by 10 teams. A total of 405 players will be offered in the TATA IPL 2023 Auction after 36 additional players were requested by teams and added to the final list.

The final list now includes 405 players on it instead of the initial 991 players.

Out of the final list, 132 players are international and 273 are Indian. Four of the international athletes are from member countries.

For this years auction, there are 119 total capped players and 282 uncapped players, including 4 from associate nations.

The IPL reports that, of the 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are foreign players, of whom 4 are from associate countries. There are 119 total players with caps, 282 players without caps, and 4 players from associate countries.

“A maximum of 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players. Rs. 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 19 overseas players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket. 11 players are on the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal are the two Indian players in the list of 20 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore," IPL said in a statement.

Two new teams joined the IPL in 2021: Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, and Lucknow Super Giants, led by Indian player KL Rahul. After defeating the Jos Butler-led Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans won their maiden league with strong performances from both of the new teams.

The regular champions like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, who didnt even make the playoffs and finished last on the points table, had a rough time in the most recent competition.
