India's stellar performance continues in the Paris Paralympics 2024 Games. On Monday, Indian athletes did wonders and won eight medals. These include two gold medals. Nitesh Kumar won gold in badminton and Sumit Antil in javelin throw. The number of medals won by India in this Paralympics has reached 15 so far. This time India has entered these games with a target of crossing 25. In such a situation, Indian athletes are leaving no stone unturned to achieve this target. The story that started with Avni Lekhara continues and many medals can come on the sixth day as well. 84 para athletes are representing India in the Paris Paralympics. These games are to be held till September 8. India is competing in 12 disciplines, which is three more than Tokyo.
The biggest question is whether India will be able to reach the number of 25 medals, because if this happens or India crosses the number of 20 medals, then the record of Tokyo Paralympics will be broken. Paris Paralympics will again prove to be the most successful Paralympics for India. So far this seems to be happening. Tokyo Paralympics 2020 has been India's most successful Paralympics so far. India sent 54 athletes in it and managed to win 19 medals. These included five gold, eight silver and six bronze medals. India's rank in Tokyo 2020 was 24th. India has a great opportunity to overcome this. So let's see how India performed in the Paralympics of which year.
