What is the rule of 5 run penalty in cricket?

• According to MCC laws, running in a restricted area of the pitch constitutes unsportsmanlike conduct.
• Law 41.14.1 states – It is a wrong to cause deliberate or avoidable damage to the pitch. If the striker comes into the restricted area while playing the ball, he should immediately move away from there. If the umpire feels that the batsman is going into the safe area of the pitch without any reason, then he can take action against the team.
• Law 41.14.2 states - If a batsman causes deliberate or avoidable damage on the pitch for the first time, the umpire will inform his partner. The umpire standing at the bowling end will warn both the batsmen that this practice is not right and this is your first and last warning. This warning will continue throughout the innings. If the umpire wishes, he can give this information to every batsman coming to the crease, the captain of the fielding team and the captain of the batting team.
• As stated in 4.14.3 – If further such damage is caused intentionally or in an avoidable situation, then the umpire will again inform the other umpire. The umpire standing at the bowler's end will not allow the batting team to give runs. He can send the batsman to his end. Can give 5 runs to the fielding side.
