WPL 2024: Gujarat has expressed more confidence in foreign players in the player auction for the first season of the Women's Premier League. This franchise has spent Rs 11.5 crore from its own purse and bought all 18 players. There is no big Indian player in the Gujarat team, but many big names who have done wonders at the international level are seen in this team. The biggest challenge before Gujarat will be to utilize its foreign players properly.
Gujarat has bought a total of six foreign and 12 Indian players and has also saved Rs 5 lakh in the purse. This franchise has spent more than one crore money only on Ashley Gardner and Beth Mooney and bought both of them for more than two crores. This team can make only Gardner or Beth Mooney as its captain. Gujarat has made Ashley Gardner the most expensive foreign player in the league by paying Rs 3.2 crores.
Sneh Rana is the biggest name in the Gujarat team. His off-spin bowling can prove to be very useful in the grounds of Mumbai.
