Two-wheeler maker Royal Enfield has launched the new Shotgun 650 bike in the middle-weight category in India. It is available in 4 color variants. These include Sheet Metal Grey, Plasma Green, Drill Green and Stancil White.

This is the company's fourth bike with 650cc engine. Royal Enfield's lineup offers three models with twin-cylinder engines. This includes Interceptor 650, Continental GT and Super Meteor 650. The bobber-style motorcycle is based on the SG650 concept, which was first showcased at EICMA-2021. Its price starts from Rs 3.59 lakh, which goes up to Rs 3.73 lakh.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Performance

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has a 648cc air-oil cooled, parallel twin engine, which generates power of 46bhp and torque of 52Nm. For transmission, the engine is tuned to a 6-speed gearbox. The company claims that the motorcycle can give a mileage of 22 km in one liter petrol. Its instrumentation, switchgear cubes, adjustable brakes, dual-channel ABS and clutch lever are similar to the Super Meteor 650.

Royal Enfield Shotgun Twin 650: Design

The Shotgun 650 is quite similar to the Super Meteor 650, but there are some changes compared to the cruiser motorcycle. The bike gets small fenders, plastic casing around the headlamp, differently designed turn indicators, newly designed black-finish exhaust muffler, flat handlebar, bar-end mirrors, which makes it different from other models of the company. Apart from this, it has been provided with long seat and mid-set foot pegs, which gives it an upright riding position.

For comfort riding, the bike has front inverted forks and dual shock unit at the rear. For braking, disc brakes used in Super Meteor have been provided on both the wheels. The motorcycle is expected to be lighter, smaller and lower in height than other models of the company.

Motoverse Edition came for Rs 4.25 lakh

Royal Enfield recently unveiled the Shotgun Twin 650 motorcycle after launching the new generation Himalayan at the annual biking event Motoverse-2023 held in Goa.

Then the company had introduced its Motoverse Edition at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.25 lakh, of which only 25 units were made. All these units have been sold. Deliveries of the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition will begin in January 2024.
