Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the 2024 model of Land Rover Discovery Sport in the Indian market on 16 January. The company has introduced the 7 seat SUV at a starting price of Rs 67.90 lakh ex-showroom. JLR has made some cosmetic updates to the car.
The biggest updates include a redesigned piano black front grille with a shiny finish, new LED headlamps, tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels. Apart from this, the new model available in Dynamic SE trim with two engine options will have 11.4-inch touchscreen and 3D view camera.
The cabin of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport features a new 11.4-inch PV Pro infotainment touchscreen with mobile connectivity and Alexa voice assistance. Apart from this, the car has features like fully digital instrument cluster, new gear selector, climate control for the third row, 3D surround view camera and clearsight ground view and rear view mirror.
The latest car also comes with features like wireless smartphone connectivity, leather interior, wireless charging and two USB-C chargers.
Two engine options are available in the updated Discovery Sport. It has a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which produces 245bhp power and 365Nm torque.
Secondly, a 2.0-litre diesel engine is available, which generates power of 201bhp and torque of 430Nm. For transmission, both the engines are tuned with automatic gearbox. The car comes with all wheel drive system.
It has been launched at an aggressive price compared to its competitors in the luxury SUV segment. In the segment, the car competes with the likes of BMW X3 (Rs 68.5 lakh - 72.5 lakh), Audi Q5 (Rs 65.18 lakh - 70.45 lakh), Volvo
