Electric vehicle manufacturing company Okaya EV is going to launch its new electric bike Disruptor on May 2. The company has developed it in collaboration with luxury brand Ferrato. The company claims that the electric bike will run 1 kilometer for 25 paise and will get a range of 129km on full charge.
Okaya will sell the e-bike from premium dealerships. For this, the company is planning to open more than 100 showrooms. The company has started pre-booking of the upcoming bike. The first 1000 customers can book it on the official website of Ferrato by paying a token money of Rs 500. After this, booking will cost Rs 2,500.
Not much information has been revealed about the design and features of Okaya's upcoming electric bike disruptor. The company had recently released silhouette images of the bike.
The muscular tank of the bike is visible in this. For suspension in the e-bike, traditional telescopic forks are provided at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear.
At the same time, for braking, disc brakes are available on both the wheels with ABS. Apart from this, the bike includes a tire hugger, split-seat setup and attractive looking LED lights at both ends.
For performance, the e-bike will get Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), which generates peak power of 6.37 kw and maximum torque of 228 Nm. The company claims that the Disruptor can run at a top speed of 95 kmph.
To power the electric motor, it will get a 3.97 kWh battery pack with LFP technology. Riding modes can also be given in it and the price will be more than Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
