Google Pixel 9: Google launched its first foldable phone in India

Tech company Google has launched the Pixel 9 series at the annual event 'Made by Google' held late night on Tuesday (August 13). This series of the company includes Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Apart from this, Pixel Watch 3 and Buds Pro 2 were also introduced in variable devices.

Pixel series phones are equipped with many AI features. These include Pixel Screenshot, Gemini AI, Gemini Live, Pixel Studio, Circle to Search, AI Weather Summary and Call Notes. Google will provide support for 7 years on its phones. It will include OS updates, security updates, feature drops and AI innovations.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the company's first foldable phone in the Indian market. Its price has been kept at Rs 1,72,999. Apart from this, the price of Pixel 9 is Rs 79999, the price of Pixel 9 Pro is Rs 109999 and the price of Pixel 9XL is Rs 124999.

The company has currently introduced all the smartphones in a single storage variant. Soon their other storage variants will also be introduced. Google has also launched Pixel Watch 3 at an initial price of ₹ 39,990. Apart from this, Pixel Buds Pro 2 has also been introduced, which is priced at Rs 22,900. Google's devices are available in India on Flipkart.

Pre-booking of all devices has been started in India. The sale of Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will start from August 22. Up to 1 year of Google One AI Premium membership subscription, up to Rs 10,000 bank offer with ICICI Bank cards and 12 months no-cost EMI is available with the Pixel 9 device.

AI features in Google Pixel 9 series

  • Pixel Screenshot: This feature is designed to remember things. Google's new Pixel Screenshot feature is somewhat similar to Microsoft's Recall feature, which uses AI to track everything you do on your computer through continuous screenshots.

  • Add Me Feature: Google Pixel's camera is equipped with AI. It has an 'Add Me' feature in photography. With its help, more than one person can be added by merging pictures taken at different times in a background.

  • Google Gemini Live: With its help, you can get information about the content on the screen by tapping 'Ask About This Screen' and 'Ask About This Video'. According to Google, Gemini can do things like adding a list of restaurants from YouTube travel videos to Google Maps.

  • Pixel Studio: The new Pixel Studio app allows you to create images by writing text. This feature is an on-device model and cloud-operated AI operated, that is, it works best with an internet connection.

  • Circle to Search: To use Circle to Search, you have to draw a circle on the subject in a photo about which you want to search. After that Google will show you results related to that subject. Apart from drawing a circle, you can also search for something by tapping.
