Ayush Badoni created a world record in Delhi Premier League 2024

In the Delhi Premier League 2024, Ayush Badoni hit 19 sixes in a match played against North Delhi Strikers and broke the record for most sixes in an innings, which was previously held by Stoney Sahil Chauhan and West Indies great Chris Gayle.
Talking to news agency PTI after hitting 19 sixes, Ayush Badoni said that I was just focusing on timing the ball well, I did not think I would be able to hit 19 sixes in an innings. I just focused on timing the ball and did not try to hit the ball hard.
He also said that I am not thinking about the IPL mega auction right now, my focus is on winning the DPL right now. Playing in the IPL has become quite easy for me because there we have to face world class bowlers and then when we play here things become easier.
Ayush Badoni became 'Player of the Match'
Ayush scored 165 runs at a strike rate of 300. His innings included 8 fours and 19 sixes. Ayush was supported by Priyansh Arya. Both of them shared a 286-run partnership for the second wicket. This was a new record for the highest partnership for any wicket in T20 cricket.
If we talk about the match, South Delhi Super Stars scored a huge score of 308 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs against North Delhi Strikers. This was the second highest score made by any team in T20 cricket history. In reply, North Delhi Strikers' team could only score 196 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In this way, South Delhi Super Stars won the match by 112 runs.
