ZIM vs BAN 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe defeated Bangladesh by 13 runs in the second ODI, taking an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series. Powered by Ben Curran's unbeaten century and superb bowling, the host team bowled Bangladesh out for 234 runs.
Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI Highlights –
In the second ODI played in Harare, Zimbabwe batted first and scored 247 runs in their allotted 50 overs. At one stage, Bangladesh was at 169 for 3, but in the final 15 overs, none of the batters could withstand Zimbabwe's bowling attack.
Chasing a target of 248 runs, Bangladesh crossed the 200-run mark in the 42nd over with five wickets in hand. The team appeared to be cruising towards victory, needing just 41 runs off 49 balls. However, the team faltered after the dismissal of Nurul Hasan (38 runs), and the innings ended only when the entire team was bowled out; Bangladesh lost their last five wickets for just 27 runs.
Ben Curran's Maiden ODI Century –
Opening batter Ben Curran scored the first century of his ODI career. In the second ODI against Bangladesh, he remained unbeaten on 111 off 135 balls, staying at the crease for the entire 50-over innings. Additionally, Brad Evans played a blistering knock of 58 runs off 38 balls, helping Zimbabwe reach a total of 247.
On the bowling front, captain Richard Ngarava led the charge by taking three wickets. Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans claimed two wickets each, while Sikandar Raza, Brian Bennett, and Wesley Madhevere took one wicket apiece.
