His reported appointment as assistant coach and batting coach has attracted attention from fans, with many curious about his salary, responsibilities, and potential impact on the team.
According to media reports, Yuvraj Singh could earn around ₹6 crore per season. However, Delhi Capitals have not officially confirmed the reported amount, so his exact coaching salary remains unknown.
Yuvraj Singh IPL 2027 Salary: Will He Earn ₹6 Crore Per Season?
Yuvraj Singh's reported salary of approximately ₹6 crore per season has become a major talking point following news of his association with Delhi Capitals. If the reported figure is accurate, it would represent a substantial remuneration for his coaching responsibilities.
However, the franchise has not publicly disclosed the financial terms of his appointment. The ₹6 crore figure should therefore be treated as an unconfirmed media report rather than an official salary announcement.
Yuvraj's experience in international cricket and the Indian Premier League could make him a valuable addition to Delhi's coaching setup as the franchise prepares for the 2027 season.
Yuvraj Singh's Role at Delhi Capitals: Assistant Coach and Batting Coach
Yuvraj Singh has reportedly been appointed as both assistant coach and batting coach for Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2027. His role is expected to focus on helping the team's batters improve their technique, develop match strategies, and perform more effectively under pressure.
T20 cricket requires players to adapt quickly to changing match situations, score at a high rate, and make smart decisions during crucial overs. Yuvraj's experience as an international batter could help players develop these skills.
His appointment also marks a new professional chapter, as he moves into a coaching position after an illustrious playing career. The exact details of his responsibilities have not been publicly disclosed.
Yuvraj Singh's IPL Career: From ₹16 Crore Player to Delhi Capitals Coach
Yuvraj Singh has previously represented Delhi's IPL franchise during his playing career. In the 2015 IPL auction, Delhi Daredevils purchased him for ₹16 crore, making him the most expensive player in that auction.
His return to the franchise in a coaching capacity represents a significant change in his association with the team. This time, rather than contributing on the field, he is expected to share his knowledge and experience with the players.
Yuvraj also represented several other franchises during his IPL career, gaining experience in different team environments and match situations. That background could help him understand the challenges modern T20 batters face.
Why Yuvraj Singh's Experience Could Strengthen Delhi Capitals in IPL 2027
Yuvraj Singh is remembered as one of India's most influential limited-overs cricketers. He played a crucial role in India's victories at the 2007 ICC Men's T20 World Cup and the 2011 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
His performances in the 2011 tournament earned him the Player of the Tournament award. Known for his aggressive batting and ability to deliver under pressure, Yuvraj could bring valuable insights to Delhi Capitals' batting unit.
His experience could be particularly useful in preparing players for high-pressure situations, building innings, accelerating the scoring rate, and adapting to different bowling attacks. The extent of his influence, however, will depend on how his coaching approach translates into performances on the field.
